Waena Muami is a website centered around a fictional fantasy archipelago called "Muami." "Waena" is the Hawaiian word for middle, center, or between. "Muami" is actually a portmanteau of two other Hawaiian words, "Moe'uhane" meaning dream, and "Moe'ino" meaning nightmare.
"Waena Muami" means to be between dreams and nightmares.

The people that live here find themselves in a melting pot of many different cultures, motivations, and livlihoods but it's all built on top of the bones of an oft ignored God and forgotten worlds.
Muami resembles our Earth at around the 1700s, in a world that has Catholic and Romanesque inspirations in it's core, but surrounded by the living and breathing cultures of Southeast Asia and Pacific Islands.
